Meet Sheila Kahwaty, PA-C
Sheila Kahwaty is a NCCPA Board Certified Physician Assistant. A graduate of the King's College Physician Assistant Program, she began her career as a Surgical PA in Bethesda, MD, working in orthopedic surgery, general surgery, neurosurgery, and trauma cases. Mrs. Kahwaty was named PA of the Year in 2009, before moving to California and joining the Spine Center at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. She has worked in collaboration with Dr. Anand since 2010 and has extensive knowledge of spine surgery.
Mrs. Kahwaty serves as the first assistant in surgery with Dr. Anand. She manages all aspects of inpatient and outpatient care. She is involved in the evaluation, education, treatment, and management of all patients in the practice. Mrs. Kahwaty is actively involved in continuing medical education and clinical research. She serves as a Clinical Research Coordinator for multiple clinical FDA IDE Trials, post-market, and retrospective studies within the practice. Mrs. Kahwaty also serves as the Fellowship Coordinator for the Comprehensive Minimally Invasive and Outpatient Spine Surgery Fellowship.
